Fellowship trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery , Dr. Echt specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and surgical excision for the treatment of skin cancer.

Mohs surgery has been shown to be a highly effective treatment for certain types of skin cancer, with a cure rate of up to 99 percent for certain tumors. Because the Mohs procedure is micrographically controlled, it provides the most precise method for removal of the cancerous tissue, while sparing the greatest amount of healthy tissue. The Mohs procedure is recommended for skin cancer removal on areas of the body where it is highly desirable to preserve as much healthy tissue as possible for either cosmetic or functional reasons such as the face or hands. Mohs surgery also may be used for lesions that have recurred following prior treatment or for lesions that have the greatest likelihood of recurrence.

In addition to Mohs Micrographic Surgery, AUDREY ECHT, MD, PA Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center offers excisions for treatment of skin cancer, surgical removal of benign and atypical moles, cysts, and other soft tissue growths.

At AUDREY ECHT, MD, PA Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, we work closely with referring physicians and patients to identify the most optimal and effective treatments available. To learn more about dermatologic surgery treatments, please visit this link
